But When Are You Going to Get a Real Job: Episode 1
Koda Kerl and Marie Borgman founded Chamomile and Whiskey in 2011 with the goal of forging a lively sound not bound by the limitations of genre. The duo later joined forces with the Irish banjo player Ryan Lavin and honed their sound over the next year.
Their efforts resulted in the 2013 EP wandering boots and after its release, Chamomile and Whiskey began to hum. They played festivals such as Floyd Fest, The Festy, and Arizona’s Titled Earth Festival and played along side acts such as Old Crow Medicine Show, Robert Earl Keen, Railroad Earth and Rusted Earth.
Now, the group is releasing the sophomore effort, “Sweet Afton” and Koda and Marie were kind enough to sit down with the Declaration’s Scene editor, Anthony Del Rosso, to talk about their new project.
